New Look Painting Estimates

JS Painting Company has changed bid presentation styles. We feel that one of the most important things is clear communication throughout the entirety of all projects. Our new bid/proposal style emphasizes pictures and unique details. Most every job requires pressure washing, some scraping or sanding, a bit of caulk or putty or spackle, some priming and a top coat. It's the specifics and the irregularities that are the most important to record.

For instance, a significant portion of older homes have painted gutters or downspouts. Often times this is done in order to match a color scheme. However, if you can avoid painting your gutters and downspouts it will preserve their original coating which will last much longer. Noting something like this with a photo and a comment is particularly useful because our bids are turned into work orders that are referenced on the job site when the job is being produced. This provides another layer of quality control and it also prevents the customer from repeating their needs over and over. When expectations are clearly laid out all it saves time and aggravation.

Additionally, our changed bid presentation allows us to clearly demarcate line items. Say for example you are considering having the exterior of your home painted, but you are also considering some other projects. Maybe you want your deck or fence stained but you have not decided if it is the right time to tackle everything at once, having projects parceled into line items can get you all the information you need while keeping your options open.

With our new detailed bidding records we are able to offer more careful relationships with our customers. Records for our customers along with corresponding proposals and work orders are logged into our salesforce.com system. That way if down the road someone needs to know the number for a color match or decides to proceed with a line item, we can provide information and quickly get on the same page.

Finally, our detailed proposals help our customers know exactly what they are getting. With a detailed bid like ours you will know the products we will use from brand to product line to sheen. You will also know the exact application process, whether it be spray or brush and roll or spray with brushback or any other method. Being detailed with the bid will ensure that when we are our performing the work we know whether or not the soffits should match the fascia or the body - that sort of thing. Many painting contractors submit bids that lack this level of detail, leaving the customer unable to insist upon a complete product. It also leaves the customer unable to compare bids with understanding. JS Painting Company submits clear and complete bids.
